Three Wins at the Women in Gaming Diversity Awards 2025

Three major wins at the WiG Diversity awards for Betsson Group: Best Diverse Place to Work, Leader of the Year, and Young Leader of the Year.

Betsson Group has once again been recognised for its dedication to fostering an inclusive, ive, and diverse workplace, winning three prestigious awards at the Women in Gaming Diversity and Employee Wellbeing Awards 2025, held on 5 June in London. These annual awards celebrate excellence in diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing across the global gaming industry.

 

Betsson Group was honoured with the ‘Best Diverse Place to Work’ award, highlighting its strong commitment to building an inclusive, motivated, and effective workforce. With over 2,500 employees from 80 nationalities across 17 locations, Betsson fosters a culture where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered regardless of nationality, race, gender, sexual orientation, or ability. This recognition reflects Betsson’s core values – One Betsson, Fair Play, and ion.

The awards also celebrate individual achievements, and two of Betsson’s own stood out:

Shakyra Johnsson, Senior Operations & Events Manager at Betsson Group, was named ‘ Leader of the Year’. With years of experience in the industry, Shakyra has shown exceptional leadership, driving growth in traffic, revenue, and conversions while fostering strong relationships across the community. Known for her collaborative spirit, she is a role model within the industry.

Chellyanne Cassar, Betsson Group’s Live Casino Manager, won ‘Young Leader of the Year.’ From starting in customer to managing the live casino product, Chellyanne has shown ion, rapid professional growth, and measurable business impact.
