Betsson Group Shortlisted in 7 categories at the SBC Awards Europe

Once again, Betsson Group has distinguished itself as a leader in the gaming industry with multiple award nominations. This time, Betsson has been nominated in seven categories at the SBC Awards Europe, taking place this June in Malta.
This is the first edition of the SBC Awards Europe, which will focus on recognising and celebrating achievements across the European sports betting and gaming industry – from operators and s to suppliers, payment providers and game developers.
Betsson Group is shortlisted for the following categories:

🏆 Casino Operator of the Year
🏆 Marketing Campaign and Sponsorship of the Year
🏆 Operator Innovation in Gaming
🏆 Best Exclusive Game Partnership
🏆 Employer of the Year
🏆 Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year
In addition to the company nominations, Betsson Group’s Head of Supplier Relations, Laura Peretta, will contribute with her expertise as a member of the Judging – casting her vote in several categories except those where a conflict of interest may arise.
The awards will be held on Thursday, 12th June 2025, coinciding with the final day of the SBC Summit Malta. Formerly known as the CasinoBeats Summit, the event is designed to facilitate high-level discussions, promote collaboration, and foster long-term partnerships. This year’s edition is expected to welcome over 6,000 delegates.

Aurora Merino, Director of Compliance at Betsson Group, will participate in the “Italy’s New Gambling Licence Regime.” Exploring how the country’s new gambling licences will reshape Italy’s sports betting landscape, operators opportunities, and the challenges of adapting to the regulatory overhauls.

Eduards Jakubovs, Head of Responsible Gaming at Betsson Group, will the session “Responsible Gaming learning from the Past: Historical cases shaping responsible gaming practices.” This session would review key historical cases, their impact, and how they continue to shape the industry’s approach.
